AEON MALL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. (“the Company’’) has successfully installed the solar panels at AEON MALL Phnom Penh (“the Mall’’) and will start to operate with the national line from January 2nd, 2023 on10:00 AM onward.
The total capacity of 1.9 MW of solar panels has cover 8,848.21 sqm on the mall’s main roof, Customer motorbike parking roof, and Tower parking roof which leads the Mall to become one of the fourth largest rooftop solar power system among the shopping mall in Japan. AEON MALL Sen Sok City is the first and AEON MALL Mean Chey is the 3rd biggest of solar installation. The installation of solar panels aims to help reduce electricity consumption in order to solve the energy shortage due to the increasing demand for electricity day by day in the country.
By using renewable energy with environmental considerations to reduce CO2 emissions, the Company has succeeded to install solar panels in all AEON shopping malls in Cambodia which is a big commitment to the environment. We hope that this action will make a significant contribution to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Cambodia.
